June 11, 1999   BACK AND KNEE PAIN, CHRONIC FATIGUE, LACK OF STAMINA IN SPORTS, INABILITY TO FLEX BACK AND KNEES IN TENNIS

Henry L.  Back and knee pain was fully relieved and range of motion was restored with the first NBE treatment. Breathing and stamina were greatly improved after two treatments, and the patient was able to return to his normal athletic activities.

The following is the e-mail Henry sent to me prior to coming to see me.

Dear Dr. Tong:  I have been suffering from fatigue, shortness of energy, and body aches (cramping) for a long time. I am very stiff physically and lack flexibility. I can't seem to get enough sleep to refresh and energize myself.  I think my rigid type thinking, life fears,  and mild depression spells have something to do with this. I have been very active all my life in sports and now suffer chronic pain in the lower back due to a compressed vertebrae pressing on the nerve and in the knee joints due to osteoarthritis and bursitis. Do you feel there are solutions to these problems?  I have enjoyed tennis for 25 years at a high level of play
and my friend Daud Ahmed who is one of your patients highly recommended I see you.
Sincerely,
Henry Lopez

June 17, 1999   MULTIPLE BACK INJURIES

Gary C.  Seven years of constant aggravating pain was essentially eliminated with one NBE treatment.  The patient was able to compete in a cost tournament after the second NBE treatment.

June 18, 1999   BACK INJURY, SURGERY RECOMMENDED

Alex R.  This patient had progressively worsening back pain due to a work injury despite of nine months of aggressive conventional therapy.  Surgery was recommended three times.  In contrast, his pain was dramatically alleviated with the first NBE treatment, and he was able to return to full-time work without restriction after only one and a half months of 16 NBE treatments. Without NBE intervention, this case would have been an endless financial drain to the conventional medical system.

14 years of constant unrelenting pain was greatly reduced with the first NBE treatment.  This patient had problems with insurance reimbursement. She has had only sporadic therapies, and cannot afford all the supplements of herbs, nutrition, and homeopathic remedies. If she were able to receive all of our treatments, her prognosis for full recovery would be 99%.

June 18, 1999   INTRACTABLE COUGHS X THREE YEARS, CHRONIC FATIGUE, WEIGHT LOSS, FIBROMYALGIA, AVERSION TO COLD, NUMBNESS OF EXTREMITIES, SUICIDAL IDEATION

Marie N.  Due to her constant unrelenting coughs and other symptoms, this patient thought she was dying, and had bought herself a coffin and burial space. Yet, one and a half months of NBE treatment eliminated 90% of her symptoms!  See her testimonial letter by under "intractable coughs."

June 25, 1999   SYRINGOMYELIA, LOW BACK AND LEFT LEG PAIN, INABILITY TO FLEX LEFT KNEE AND WALK NORMALLY

Billie FThis patient was told that she would be paralyzed in two years after the initial diagnosis of syringomyelia. However, acupuncture treatments have kept her walking even though they did not relieve her pain or the rigidity of the knee. The patient was not able to tolerate a complete first NBE treatment, but nevertheless experienced some relief. She was "pain free" for four days after the second NBE treatment, and was able to walk without her brace and crutches.

In spite of this remarkable result, Billie has difficulty getting insurance approval to receive further NBE treatment. See letter by this patient under "SYRINGOMYELIA."

Billie was referred to us by one of our patients, Daisy, a 70 year old lady who had suffered from a dropped foot syndrome and diabetes. Daisy was completely unable to flex her right foot.  She dragged her foot walking despite her use of a leg brace and a cane. Her blood sugar was  180-200 or more on two different diabetic pills. The conclusion from exhaustive conventional treatment by 9 different specialists was that her right leg needed to be amputated, as did the left, eventually.

NBE treatments completely cured Daisy's condition. She has been able to walk normally without any assistance (leg brace or walker) for the past two years. Her blood sugar also has been normal (between 100 to 120) without the use of any drugs or any further NBE treatments. It occasionally goes up to 140 or 150 when she fails to watch her diet.  Daisy needs to return for more NBE treatments and herbal/nutritional supplements. However, she cannot afford them due to reimbursement problems with Medicare.

Rogene R.
This patient came from Northern California.  She received ten NBE treatments from the initial trip and three more from a subsequent visit one month later, which provided great improvement in her energy. The treatments have not yet improved her anemia or thrombocytopenia. She is returning for more therapy in July.

June 29, 1999   ACUTE BILATERAL KNEE INJURY

Sharon. This patient is an employee of Kaiser, which has referred her to receive only acupuncture treatment from us. Therapies provided by Kaiser had failed to provide any improvement  Nevertheless, her pain was dramatically reduced after the first acupuncture treatment.  She was able to get up from a sitting position without the assistance of her hands, and has been able to walk normally.
